Welcome to ROOTS, my restaurant at the Lobé Falls in Kribi, Cameroon. My name is Alain, I am a native of this village and I grew up on this beach. It was also on this beach that I met my wife Jos, who’s Dutch. After 5 years separated and 6 years together in the Netherlands we decided to return to our roots at the Lobé Falls.
As I worked on this site for a long time, I knew the needs of the customers in terms of sanitary facilities, cleanliness and hospitality. In the Netherlands I deepened my culinary and hospitality training which allowed me to create a picturesque setting that meets customer expectations.
There is a terrace on the ground floor with a panoramic view of the mystical Lobé Falls and the Atlantic Ocean. The sunset is breathtaking. At the same level there is a pleasant arbor to stay with family or friends. The VIP area is located on the third floor of the restaurant where you can stay in peace and discretion. There you also find the pool table for your entertainment. For your comfort we have 2 modern toilets. The kitchen offers you, among other things, seafood and the famous Lobé shrimp. They have an exceptional particularity because they are fished and kept in the Lobé Falls.
To get a good view of these famous Lobé Falls and get very close to them, we can organize canoe trips. You can also go up the Lobé to see the beautiful landscape, the monkeys and the birds up to the pygmy camps.
